Green Innovative Safety Technologies or GIST, has one goal in mind: eliminate the vast number of waste automotive tires plugging up our landfills, and in the process design, create and build innovative and Earth-friendly concrete alternatives for use in the transportation sector. GIST's leading product is a 'green' alternative to concrete lane separation devices, or what is more commonly know as a 'Jersey Barrier'.
GIST spawned from the 2012 University of Washington's Environmental Innovation Challenge, a lean-tech business and prototype competition. GIST is the licensed owner of all physical and intellectual property associated with this website and the business (Green Innovative Safety Technologies.)
